Wild camping in Schleswig-Holstein

Wild camping in the great outdoors is not permitted in Schleswig-Holstein for nature conservation reasons. Nevertheless, the Nature Conservation Foundation's ‘Wild Schleswig-Holstein’ project makes it possible to spend the night in the open air in some places. The 35 trekking sites, which are specifically aimed at cyclists and hikers, are offered by the Nature Conservation Foundation on its land or made available by private individuals.
