Advent market in Ahrensburg
From November 25 to December 30, the Advent market organized by the Ahrensburger Bürgerverein e.V. and the Ahrensburger Stadtforum e.V. will enchant visitors with its Christmas atmosphere and culinary delights.
On December 13 and 14, discover the castle in Advent in romantic light, stroll through Ahrensburg Castle and enjoy culinary delights in the atmospheric vaulted cellar. The whole event is accompanied by music and choir singing. Tickets go on sale on Wednesday, 01.10.2025 at 11 a.m. at the castle box office or by telephone.
For Santa's wake-up call on 29.11.2025, all children are invited to get Santa out of his sleep so that he can switch on the town's Christmas lights. With moderated support, the children will wake up Santa Claus and light Bad Segeberg's festive lights together.
At the Living Advent Calendar, visitors can discover an Advent surprise in or in front of a store or office every day from December 1 to 24. The pre-Christmas season is celebrated in a special way under the motto "24 doors, 24 surprises, 24 x regional - genuinely Segeberg".

At Glückstadt's Sternenzauber, guests can experience atmospheric activities, festive markets and special surprises during the Advent season. The highlight is the Christmas market from 12 to 14 December around the large fir tree with arts and crafts, gift ideas, culinary delights and a musical program. To ensure that all visitors can enjoy the Advent season without any worries, there is also a public bus service that takes guests to and from the Christmas market in comfort.
The town also invites visitors to take part in many other activities: children can look forward to the Santa Claus boot hunt, the Christmas wish tree in the tourist information office fulfills the wishes of disadvantaged families and there are attractive prizes to be won in the popular "Sterntaler" competition. The traditional Glückstadt Christmas bauble, with its new town motif every year, is also available again and adds a festive sparkle to your home.
