Jazz at its finest ... freely and freshly interpreted. In 2018 the GALERIE opened the doors for a concert in the old city pharmacy for the first time. The rush with almost 200 guests was phenomenal. Now they're back, Papermoon, in a new constellation. The five musicians from “Papermoon” actually have only one thing in mind: they want to play. Preferably together and jazz. Classics like "Summertime" or the "Girl from Ipenema", bluesy sounds or exotic things like Kurt Weil's "Mecky Messer": only favorite pieces are sung and played on this evening. Free and freshly interpreted…. The audience is allowed on board. Rüdiger Fock, pianist, Glückstadt musician and jazz activist brought "Papermoon" musicians from Hamburg on board: singer Nini (Christine Löber, loves to sing jazz and also loves to play electric bass), double bass player Thomas Sproten (originally from Rhineland, now weatherproof Northern Lights) and saxophonist Helle Weidtman-Leder (my first great love was and still is Paul Desmond) are supported by drummer Philip Hogrebe from Krempe. The five ensure a jazzy, relaxed evening with infectious joy of playing.
