Welcome to the far north
The 130-km border route lets cyclists dive into the cultural history of the German-Danish border region. Between Nordseedeich and the Flensburger Fjord, the route crosses the former border, which shaped the region for 80 years. Today, idyllic routes lead you through diverse natural landscapes. In the west, you can enjoy the expanse of the marsh, inland dunes and heath landscapes characterise the Geest, and in the east, you can cycle through the hill country shaped by the Ice Age. Numerous information points provide odd, entertaining and local stories of the very special life at the border.
The 66-km North/Baltic Sea cycle route supplements the border route as an “express route” between the North Sea and Baltic Sea.
