‘Beach finder’ – North Sea coast
It’s got to have fine sand and there should be waves to splash around in! A Nordic walking course for reviving tired muscles in the morning, and a spot for a romantic sunset is requested for the evening. -
Everyone finds their own special beach on the islands and the coast of the North Sea. On the one hand, you have the fine sand beaches which stretch out for kilometres. These are found, for example, on the islands of Amrum, Föhr and Sylt, and in St. Peter-Ording on the Eiderstedt peninsula. Magnificent dune landscapes provide protection against storm floods.
On the other hand, you have the equally popular ‘green beaches’ on the summer dykes, such as those in Büsum and Friedrichskoog.
Sections with beach chairs, sports areas, beach games, children's play areas, separate dog beaches and nudist sections mean that everyone can find their perfect spot.
Everything gets a turn – quiet relaxation in a beach chair, strolls along the promenades, sporting activities on the beach and enjoying a swim. What’s more, you do it all outside, in the healthy, bracing climate of the North Sea.
