Children’s pass
Phänomenta Science-Center
Sensory or insane? Touching, trying and being amazed are compulsory at the Phänomenta Science-Center in Flensburg. When shadows in every colour suddenly start to glisten, or the floor in the crooked house plays games with your sense of balance.
Stone-age village
Those who desire, can travel back 5,000 years in time: in the replica stone-age village in Albersdorf, the inquisitive will discover that even back then, people had ‘cool’ hot plates for their food.
And little explorers find out for themselves: making a fire with a flint stone takes some practice.
Multimar Wattforum
How big does one of those sperm whales get, and by contrast, how small is a lugworm? You can’t help but be amazed as you observe more than 250 animal species in the Multimar Wattforum in Tönning. By the end, every child will know whether lumpsuckers lay eggs, and just why the lugworm is so great.
Friedrichskoog seal rescue centre
You are in for a real ‘howl’ in the Friedrichskoog seal rescue centre: this is where baby seals are nursed back to health so that they can later return to thrive in the North Sea.
Storm tide world
Discoverers small and large will learn all about ebbs and flows and the elemental forces of the sea in the ‘Blanker Hans’ storm tide world in Büsum.
Sea centre
Things can turn just a touch spine-chilling when the tiger sharks swim past just a few inches away from you in the glass tunnel at the Meereszentrum (sea centre) Fehmarn.
Sea Life
Or come to Sea Life in Timmendorfer Strand to see sea horses, skates and Baltic fish - all at a child’s eye level.
